Snap a Picture of a Data Table and Import it As Excel Spreadsheet on Your iPhone

A couple of months ago, Microsoft teased that iPhone and Android owners could use the Excel app to click a picture of a table and automatically convert it into a spreadsheet. After rolling out the feature for Android smartphones in March, Microsoft has now finally added the feature to the Excel’s iOS app as well.

Converting data tables into a spreadsheet is as simple as it sounds: open the Excel app on your iPhone, tap the small camera icon you see at the bottom and point the iPhone’s camera to the data table. Crop the picture or make any adjustments to it if necessary and then wait for a second or two. The data table would be automatically imported into Excel in a spreadsheet format and you can then edit it as per your liking.

What to Expect at WWDC 2019: iOS 13, macOS 10.15, watchOS 6, More

What to Expect at WWDC 2019: iOS 13, macOS 10.15, watchOS 6, More

Apple’s worldwide developer’s conference is just around the corner. On June 3rd, Apple will hold the keynote address where it will feature the new operating system updates for all four of its major platforms: iOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS. And this time, it looks like we might see some hardware or more details about Apple’s upcoming services. What exactly can you expect to see at WWDC 2019? Read on to find out.
WWDC 2019: What to Expect
1. iOS 13

As always, Apple will lead WWDC keynote with an update to its biggest software platform. And this time we are going to see a lot of interesting things. And after a dull year, 2019 should be the year of great software updates on the iPad side as well.

Plenty of features in iOS 13 have already been confirmed by leaks.

Dark Mode: The much-awaited dark mode is finally coming.

Better iPad Multitasking: Apple is going to improve iPad multitasking by introducing a floating panel feature that will give users the ability to move windows freely, similar to how it works on macOS.

iPad as a Second Display: There’s a rumored feature called Sidecar that will let you use the iPad as a second display for a Mac, wirelessly.

Improved Safari: Safari on the iPad will now automatically load the desktop version of the site.

New Volume HUD: Finally, Apple is going to replace the annoying volume overlay with something that is less distracting.

New Reminders App: There’s going to be a new reminders app written from the ground up.

Find My App: Apple is merging its Find my Friends and Find my iPhone app into one. The new app will come with a revamped UI and offer enhanced functionality.

Smarter Siri: Siri is going to get smarter in iOS 13 with improved voice recognition, support for new Siri extensions, and more.

We’ve talked about the leaked iOS 13 features in detail in our roundup here. We’ve also got a separate wishlist of features we want to see in iOS 13 (that didn’t make it to the leaked list).
2. macOS 10.15

The upcoming version of macOS is going to have quite a lot of features from iOS 12 and iOS 13.

iPad apps on Mac: Apple is going to let developers write iPad apps that will work directly on macOS with little tweaks.

Screen Time: iOS 12’s Screen Time is finally coming to the Mac. This screen will help Mac users see just how much time they’re spending on the Macs.

New Mac Apps: The Podcasts app is coming to Mac. There is going to be a standalone Music app as well. Plus, the new Find my iPhone app is coming to the Mac along with iOS 13’s new Reminders app.

Siri Shortcuts: Siri Shortcuts integration along with Shortcuts app is coming to macOS. We don’t know how exactly Shortcuts app will work in macOS and if it will be as limited as the iOS version.

Read our detailed breakdown of macOS 10.15 leaked features to learn more.
3. watchOS 6

More Watch Faces: Sorely needed for Apple Watch Series 4, Apple is going to be adding newly designed watch faces to the mix. There’s going to be a new watch face with extra large time stamp, a gradient-based watch face, a watch face that looks like a sundial, and a new Infograph Subdial face.

More Complications: Apple will be adding a couple of useful new complications to the mix.

App Store on Watch: Apple is adding App Store directly to the Watch so users can download and start using apps without ever touching the iPhone.

Voice Memos: The Voice Memos app will come to the Apple Watch so users can quickly take notes from their wrist.

Books App: The new Books app will let users listen to audiobooks right from the Apple Watch.

New Health-Related Apps: A new app called Dose will help users take medicines on time. A new app called Cycles will be used for tracking menstrual cycles.

We’ve outlined our watchOS 6 wishlist here.
4. Mac Pro Teaser

While the new Mac Pro is not ready to be shipped, we can expect to see a teaser. The last Mac Pro was revealed at WWDC and as so many developers watch the event, it can be a great time to talk about the most powerful Mac.

Other than that, there’s a slight chance might see a new monitor reveal from Apple as well.

Why Won’t My Phone Charge, How to Fix?

Part 1. Why is My Phone not Charging?

In this section of the guide, you are going to find out the reasons why your phone is not charging. It is only after finding out why your phone is not charging that you can find out the possible fixes to the issue.
Cause 1. Faulty Charging Cable

If the cable that you use to charge your phone is faulty and has issues with it, you will likely face the issue where your phone will not charge at all. It is simply because the power from the cable never reach the power source on the phone.
Cause 2. Dirty USB Port

Over the time the USB port on your phone collects a large amount of dust that makes the port unfunctional. The dust that the USB port has collected makes it impossible for the port to serve or get any power from external cables.
Cause 3. Phone Software Issue

It could also be the case that your phone has an issue in its operating system, also called phone software, which is causing your phone not to charge. In this case, all the efforts you make to physically clean your phone will not work.

The above section answers your "why isn t my phone charging" question. The following section should teach you how to fix the issue.
Part 2. What to Do When Your Android Phone Won't Charge?

Now that you know the possible causes as to why your phone will not charge, the following are some of the fixes you can apply to your phone and get rid of the issue on your device.

Here's how to fix the "my phone wont charge" issue on your phone:
1. Try a Different Power Source

The first thing you will want to do is try a different source of power as the one you currently use may have issues with it. Doing so will not do any harm to your phone and you may get lucky and can get your issue fixed by just changing the power source.
2. Check/replace charging cable

If your charging cable looks damaged or faulty, check it thoroughly and see if you can fix it. If you cannot, get it replaced with a genuine and working cable to ensure your phone charges without any issues.
3. Check and Clean USB port

Your USB port may have accumulated a lot of dust if you do not clean it regularly. If this is the case, go ahead and take a clean cloth and use it to gently wipe the USB port on your phone. This will clean the port of any dust or other dirty elements.
4. Check/replace the wall adapter

Wall adapters should also be in working condition if you use them to charge your phones. If they have an issue with them, you will face issues getting your phone to charge using those wall adapters. Check yours and get it replaced if it does not work.
5. Reboot Your Phone

Your phone may have got stuck somewhere and sometimes rebooting the phone resolves the charging issue. Simply hold down the Power button for a few seconds and choose the reboot option to easily reboot your phone.
6. Reboot to Safe Mode

If your phone does not reboot in the normal mode, you may try rebooting it in the safe mode so you can investigate and fix the software issues on your device. Each phone has a different key combination to get into safe mode and you may want to check the manual of your phone to learn how to do the task.
7. Replace the Battery

Batteries on most phones do not last a lifetime and you may want to replace yours with a fresh one if yours has been running on the phone for many years.

Not Everything That ‘Happens on Your iPhone, Stays on Your iPhone’

A new report by The Washington Post claims that they’ve found 5,400 hidden app trackers spying and stealing user data, in just one single week. The report claims Apple is misleading with their advertising.

The controversial “What happens on your iPhone, stays on your iPhone” ad campaign has brought a lot of unwanted (for Apple) attention to issues regarding their mobile platform. After Apple’s bold claims, The Washington Post discovered that a lot of third-party apps have way too much access to your data, and Apple isn’t doing anything about it.

Over 5,400 trackers were found in just a single week, sending Geoffrey A. Fowler‘s personal data to companies he has never heard about before. Trackers were found in places they had no right to be. They weren’t there just to show you relevant ads but to outright steal your private information and sell it to the highest bidder.

The firm “Disconnect” helped Mr Fowler analyse the device. Their CTO and former National Security Agency researcher Patrick Jackson commented on the matter:

“This is your data. Why should it even leave your phone? Why should it be collected by someone when you don’t know what they’re going to do with it? […] I know the value of data, and I don’t want mine in any hands where it doesn’t need to be,”

Apple should take more responsibility for what apps on their platform do with their users’ data, says The Washington Post. While Apple carefully lets users block access to microphone, camera, location and similar settings for certain apps, it turns a blind eye towards other forms of data collection that are running like the wild west on your iPhone.

While Apple takes better care than most in terms of their own services and encrypts data, or even doesn’t collect it in the first place, they’re not acting on the real issue, which are third-parties.Sponsor ads:

7 Solutions to Fix iCloud Keeps Asking for Password on iPhone/iPad 2019

7 Solutions to Fix iCloud Keeps Asking for Password on iPhone/iPad

In this part, we will explain the most practical fixes to address “iCloud keeps asking for password” issue. You don’t have to try all these fixes and just try one after the other and see which one works.
Solution 1. Check Whether iCloud is Working

First of all, you should check if the iCloud is working. Occasionally, iCloud can experience some server issues on their end. To check this, you should visit system status of Apple on your device. If all the services are green, there is no error. If there is an error, just wait for Apple to fix the issue.

Solution 2. Restart Your iPhone/iPad

Restarting the iOS device and signing into Apple ID Profile once again may fix this issue.

For iPhone 6S or older, iPads and iPod Touch devices, just press Home and Power simultaneously. You will see the Apple logo eventually.

For iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, press and hold Volume Down with Side buttons until you see Apple logo (for about 10 seconds).

For iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, you should press Volume Up button and release it quickly. Then, perform a short press on Volume Down button as well. As the last step, press the Side button to see the Apple logo.

Now, go to Settings, select Apple ID Profile and provide the Apple ID credentials to sign in.

Solution 3. Check the WiFi Connection

For many users, the cause behind this issue is an error in their WiFi connection. To check if it works correctly, you should visit a webpage on another device that is connected to the same network. If it doesn’t work, then there might be something wrong with the WiFi connection. If not, restart your device and see.

Solution 4. Sign out iCloud Account and then Log in

By signing out iCloud, you can rest iCloud’s authentication. Signing in back to the same network would do the trick for most of the users.

For iOS 10.3 or newer users:

Step 1: Go to Settings app on the iOS device and touch your name.

Step 2: Go to iCloud and scroll to the bottom.

Step 3: Tap on the option Sign Out. Provide your password and choose to Turn Off.

Step 4: Tap on Sign Out and choose Sign Out once again to confirm it. Now, wait for a while and go to Settings once again.

Step 5: Tap in Sign in and enter the Apple credentials. Tap Sign In and enter the passcode.

For iOS 10.2 or older:

Step 1: Go to Settings and select iCloud.

Step 2: Then scroll down to the bottom of the screen and select Sign Out.

Step 3: Launch Settings app and go to iCloud. Sign in and enter the passcode.

Solution 5. Reset Network Settings

If you still struggling with the issue, just try to reset Network Settings.

Step 1: Go to Settings app on your device and select General.

Step 2: Then, scroll down and tap the option Reset.

Step 3: Tap on the option Reset Network Settings.

Solution 6. Reset Your Apple ID Password

If the problem persists, you should try resetting the Apple ID Password.

Step 1: Go to Settings app and tap on your name.

Step 2: Then, you should go to Password & Settings option.

Step 3: Now, you can select the option “Change Password”.

Step 4: You can now enter the existing password or device password.

Step 5: Then, enter the new password and confirm it. Tap on the option Change Password.

Solution 7. Fix iCloud Keeps Asking for Password on iPhone/iPad without Data Loss

You may aware that some of the fixes we try when our iOS devices are faulty can cause data loss. For instance, if you perform a factory to fix this iCloud issue, that will cause obvious data loss.

Apple Stops Signing iOS 12.2, Downgrading from iOS 12.3 No Longer Possible

After the release of iOS 12.3 in the last week of April, Apple has now stopped signing iOS 12.2. This means if you have already upgraded to iOS 12.3, you won’t be able to downgrade back to iOS 12.2.

The jailbreak community usually recommends one to stay on the lowest iOS release possible.

There are two iOS 12 – iOS 12.12 jailbreak tools available right now, and it is unlikely that we are going to see an iOS 12.2 or higher jailbreak becoming available now, especially since Apple will announce iOS 13 at WWDC 2019 next month. Before iOS 13 drops though, Apple will also release iOS 12.4 which will bring Apple Card support to the OS.

Plus, iOS 12.3 brings a number of new features to the table including a redesigned TV app, Apple TV Channels, AirPlay 2 support for smart TVs, and plenty of bug fixes.

With no iOS 12.2 jailbreak on the horizon, if your iPhone or iPad is already running iOS 12.3, you should just stick to it and enjoy the new features offered by it.

Rumor Claims iOS 13 Will Drop Support for iPhone 5s, iPhone SE, and iPhone 6

A questionable rumor claims that iOS 13 will drop support for iPhone 5s, iPhone 6series, and iPhone SE. Its a dubious rumor for sure since there’s a lot of contradiction in the information.

As per the rumor, Apple will drop support for the following iPhones and iPads with iOS 13:

iPhone 5s

iPhone 6

iPhone 6 Plus

iPhone SE

iPad mini 2

iPad Air

I highly doubt that Apple will drop support for the iPhone SE with iOS 13. This is because it is still a popular phone with a sizeable user base. Plus, it is powered by an A9 chip which is found inside the iPhone 6s and 5th gen iPad as well. There’s no reason for Apple to support A9-powered devices like the iPhone 6s and still drop support for the iPhone SE.

The same stands true for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus which remain incredibly popular smartphones even now.

Dropping support for so many popular smartphones with iOS 13 would be a stark contrast to when Apple released iOS 12 last year which supported the same set of devices as iOS 11.
Our Take

iOS 13 is expected to introduce a lot of new features so we could see Apple drop support for some of its relatively popular older devices.

Apple is definitely going to drop support for the iPhone 5s with iOS 13 as that phone is now definitely showing its age. However, despite what this rumor claims, I doubt we are going to see Apple drop support for iPhone SE and iPhone 6 with iOS 13.
